Milestone Certified Design Engineer (MCDE)

A Milestone Certified Design Engineer (MCDE) should be able to design surveillance solutions to meet customers’ needs. The MCDE exam tests your knowledge within the following topics: Technical and Video Surveillance Basics, Design Site Survey, Milestone System Architecture, XProtect Products and Extensions, Milestone Design Features, Smart Client Workstations, Milestone Licensing and Care, Cybersecurity and IT Best Practices, and Milestone Partner Tools and Resources.

*The MCDE is required for Advanced and Premier levels in the Partner Program.

Prerequisites

We do not require any certifications or classes prior to taking the MCDE assessment, but we do recommend reviewing the MCDE Study Guide . For those who are new to design, we also recommend attending the Milestone Solution Design training class when preparing to take the assessment, in addition to reviewing the MCDE Study Guide.
